Well so do we Vault 73  one of Newcastle’s newest restaurant bars,  which you can find on the corner of Bolton and Hunter street at the eastern end of the mall in the old Commonwealth Bank. Excellent ambience and delicious food
Dinner tonight @Vault73HunterSt inside this iconic former bank, I was seated in maybe what was the bank manager’s office.

Potato gnocchi, garlic prawns, vongole, fennel, lemon olive oil
Wonderful soft pillowy gnocchi surrounded by a lip smacking garlic oil, succulent prawns and vongole. Such a delicious dish.

White chocolate semi-freddo, salted caramel, vanilla ice cream, popcorn

I really enjoyed the flavours but despite having a sweet tooth, this was just too sweet. Needs a better balance omitting the salted caramel and maybe the addition of a tart compote and/or a light sponge.

Well worth a try
Spending the day in Newcastle we headed for Vault 73 on Hunter Street can certainly recommend, we had lunch, choosing the swordfish and lamb rump, both meals were delicious and of course a glass of wine. Really liked the atmosphere being an old bank still with original decor and service was impeccable, no rush, just relax and enjoy. Will certainly visit again when next in Newcastle

Amazing
My husband and I try to have time with our kids and this place was perfect. Dinner was tasty, reasonably priced and plenty of variety. The music was great also and appreciated that it wasn’t to loud, so we could still talk. We will definitely be coming back.
